Things to Consider

Ideally using a flash drive plugged into a job trailer TV is the most efficient way to do orientations. Using the YouTube link each time can lead to issues of maxing out data on hotspots. Utilizing flash drive also will not tie up a computer onsite, allowing a superintendent to keep working while video is playing.
Process
All subcontractors' personnel are to watch the Koester Site Orientation Video Before Starting work onsite. This video is available via YouTube Link, or loading onto usb drive and played on TV in job trailer.
This video covers the standard hazards that can be encountered on a jobsite. After watching this video it is the Superintendent’s responsibility to educate personnel on hazards and logistics that are specific to that jobsite. These hazards are identified in the Site-Specific Safety Plan, which is created for each project, and is an attachment to each sub’s contract.
After both of these have occurred, Superintendent will issue the personnel a Koester sticker for their hard hat. These stickers can be the general Koester sticker or be project specific if needed. The job site superintendent will also issue forklift stickers to personnel that can produce credentials qualifying them to operate equipment.
