Office Plotter Instructions

Objective 

To be able to use the office plotter  

 

Background 

Full sized drawings sets may need to be updated due to addendums or certain pages may need to be printed in the office for a specific use.  

 

Things to Consider 

The office plotter is best utilized for small batches of prints. Large prints should be outsourced to ensure quality and speed of the prints being made.  

 

Prerequisites 

1. The printer driver must be installed following these steps 

2. Click this link to download the Canon tm 305 driver 

3. Select the first item and click download.

4. Locate the file in your downloads folder, right-click, select Open/Run 

5. Select Next 

•  

6. Select Canon TM-305 

•  

7. Finish the initial setup by selecting United States and agreeing to the terms. 

8. Select "Use the printer with wired LAN connection" and click NEXT 

•  

8. Click Next until to get to the Search for Printers page: Select "Automatic search" and then Next:

10. Have the Model "TM-305" selected and then click Next: 

•  

11. Click the Complete button and you are done. 

 

Plotting Steps 

1. Select "Canon TM-305" as the printer. Then click "Properties": 

•  

2. On the "Page Setup" tab have the following settings selected: 

• Page Size: 24"x36" (ARCH D) 

• Orientation: Landscape -- Rotate Page 90 degrees 

• Roll Paper Width: 36 in Roll (914.4mm) 

•  

3. Select "OK" and then you are ready to Print.
