Somik Ghosh

Bio

Somik Ghosh joined the Construction Science faculty at the University of Oklahoma in
2013. He spent his years in the industry working in various capacities: as an architect,
owner’s rep, and for general contractors. He earned his MS in Construction
Management from Michigan State University and PhD in Environmental Design &
Planning from Virginia Tech. His academic interests lie in the field of Lean construction
and occupational safety of construction workers. Somik is actively involved with the
Lean Construction Institute and is one of the core members of the Oklahoma Lean
Community of Practice.
