Georg Reichard

Bio

Georg Reichard an Associate Professor of Building Construction and the Associate Director for Research of the Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech. He has over 25 years of technical and educational experience in both industry and academia. He has a strong technical background in broad areas of civil engineering and architecture ranging from numerical analysis and simulation methods to sustainable design of building enclosure and environmental systems.

Dr. Reichard’s primary expertise is in computational methods and simulation for buildings, with a particular focus on building systems and building sciences.

He holds a Master’s Degree and a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering (Building Science) from Graz University of Technology and is registered as a Professional Engineer (Architectural Engineering) in the State of Virginia.
