Copy a Group to Another Project

Objective

To copy a group from one project to another project in the Estimating, Bid Board, or Portfolio Planning tools.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions for the Bid Board tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
   OR
   Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
2. Click the Estimating tab.
3. Locate the group that you want to copy to another project.
   Note: The source can be copied from any estimate or change order, but will always be copied to the primary estimate of the target project.
4. Click the vertical ellipsis icon for the group.
5. Hover over Copy to Another Project.
6. Click With Quantities or Without Quantities.
   Note: If a line item within a group includes quantities from a takeoff, those quantities will be changed to the “extra quantity” type.
7. Click the project that you want to copy the group to.
   Note: The list of target projects where this group can be copied will not include archived projects, projects marked to be deleted, or projects with locked pricing.
8. The group is automatically added to the selected project.
