Enable Copilot
Open Beta
The open beta for Procore Copilot is available to customers in the United States using Procore in English who license the required toolset. Follow the steps in Enable Copilot to start participating.
If you are using Procore in the United States in English, but do not see the option to opt in to the beta, it is likely because your company does not license the tool package required to be eligible to participate in the beta at this time.
Customers using Procore in English in Canada, the United Kingdom and Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand are eligible to participate in a Closed Beta. Contact your Procore point of contact to request access to the closed beta.
Caution
Like all AI tools, Copilot's answers might not be entirely accurate. You must evaluate any recommendations or suggestions against your own reasonable policies and procedures before taking action. We recommend human review of any AI-generated outputs.
Objective
Learn how to activate the Copilot open beta for your company and enable Copilot on projects.
Background
Copilot is Procore's AI assistant tool. It can respond to questions asked in a conversational style, like the kind of question you might ask a coworker. Copilot is currently in beta, so you must sign a beta agreement and enable Copilot on your desired projects to gain access.
Things to Consider

Tip
Want to make Copilot automatically available on all new projects moving forward? Enable Copilot on your project template(s).
3. Give Project Users Permission to Use Copilot
- Assign 'Standard' level permissions to Copilot by updating users' project permission templates. See Edit a Project Permissions Template for detailed instructions.
Notes
- Copilot must be activated on at least one (1) project in your company for it to appear as an option on any Global Project Permissions Template.
- Copilot must be activated on the related project for it to appear as an option on a Project-Specific Permissions Template.
- All project users with 'Admin' level permissions to the Project Directory tool will have permissions to Copilot enabled by default when it's activated on that project.
- Assign 'Standard' level permissions to users who are not project administrators to allow them to interact with the feature.
- 'Read Only' permissions are not available for Copilot at this time.
- While and 'Admin' level permissions can be selected, you should NOT assign that level of permission at this time. 'Admin' level permissions might include further capabilities in the future, but at this time do not offer any capabilities beyond those available to users with 'Standard' level permissions.
- Copilot respects individual user permissions when answering questions about project data. Users with permissions to Copilot can only receive answers about project data to which they have access.
