Edit an Agent

Objective

Learn how to edit, publish, unpublish, or delete an Agent in the Procore Agent Builder tool.

Background

Procore's Agent Builder helps users create AI Agents that automate routine tasks and gain predictive insights from project data. You can run the Agent directly from Assist, Procore's in-app AI service.

Things to Consider

  • Agent Builder is currently in Open Beta. See About Agent Builder for more information. 
  • Required User Permissions: 
    • Only an Agent's author can publish the Agent. Once it is published, Project Admin can edit, unpublish, or delete any user's Agent. 
    • Any user can create an Agent, but the user who runs the Agent (via Assist), needs appropriate permissions in all the tools involved in executing the tasks. See About Agent Builder for more information. 

Steps

  1. Navigate to your project in Procore. 
  2. Open the Agent Builder tool. 
  3. In the list of Agents, find the one you want to edit, publish, unpublish, or delete. 

Edit an Agent

  1. Click the Agent's more icon-ellipsis-vertical.png menu and select Edit. 
    • Unless you are a Project Admin, you can only edit Agents you created, but you can copy someone's Agent to edit it. 
    • If it is a published Agent, Procore asks for confirmation that you want to update an Agent that could be in use by other users.
  2. Make the desired changes. Agent options are described in the Build an Agent tutorial. 
  3. When you're finished, click the Save & Close button, or the Save & Test button if you'd like to run a simulation of your Agent operating. 
    Your updated Agent is now live on the project.
  4. Optional:  Use your Agent in Procore Assist. 

Publish or Unpublish an Agent

  1. Click the Agent's more icon-ellipsis-vertical.png menu and select Unpublish or Publish. 
    Note: You can only publish/unpublish Agents you created (unless you are a Project Admin), but you can copy someone's Agent to edit it. 
  2. Confirm your choice. Your Agent's status field changes as does its visibility in the Agent menu in Assist. All project members can see published Agents in Assist's Agent menu.

Delete an Agent

  1. Click the Agent's more icon-ellipsis-vertical.png menu and select Delete. 
    Note: You can only delete Agents you created (unless you are a Project Admin).
  2. Confirm your choice. Deleting an Agent removes it for all project members and cannot be undone.
