Respond to a Bid from the Bid Board

Objective

To respond to a bid from a Bid Board project in the Estimating, Bid Board, or Portfolio Planning tools.

Background

The Bid Board and Portfolio Planning tools in Procore are where you can easily view and manage all bids that your company has been invited to, without needing to switch between different companies in Procore. You can view all bid details and documents, manage your intention to bid, and begin the takeoff and estimating process, all from the same tool.

If you have moved a project from the Bid Board to your Portfolio tool, you can also take these actions in the Estimating tool.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions for the Bid Board tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.
• When using the Estimating tool, tasks are only available for projects that originated in the Bid Board tool. See Add a Bid Board Project to the Portfolio Tool.
• A notification is sent to the sender immediately after you update your intention to bid. You can change your response at any time before the deadline of the bid by clicking the other response in the banner.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
   OR
2. Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
3. Click the Overview tab.
4. In the 'Invitation to Bid' banner at the top of the Overview page, click one of the following responses:
   • Will Bid
   • Will Not Bid
5. Optional: If you want to archive a bid that you are not responding to, click Archive. This moves the bid to the Archived page of the Bid Board, where you can still view and unarchive it if needed.
