Common Questions

What happens if an invoice discount expires or is manually removed?

When an invoice discount passes its target due date without being paid, or when an authorized user manually removes the discount from the invoice, the discount amount is permanently forfeited. The invoice immediately recalculates to display the full, gross invoice amount.

How do Payment Terms interact with ERP sync in this release?

In this initial Beta release, Payment Terms created and assigned in Procore do not sync with external ERP systems.

  • ERP ID Capture: You can capture and store an ERP ID field on each Payment Term setting for reference.

  • Workflow Impact: The calculation, due date logic, and discount tracking occur natively within Procore Pay and the Commitments/Invoicing tools. Bi-directional synchronization with connected ERP integrations (such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Viewpoint) will be introduced in a future phase.

How are lien waiver unlock requests handled for discounted invoices?

When a discounted payment term is applied and the invoice qualifies for early/discounted disbursement, the system is designed to automatically trigger the request to unlock the required conditional or unconditional lien waiver. This feature is built to help align subcontractor compliance obligations and lien releases with accelerated payment execution while helping to reduce the need for manual email follow-ups from pay ops teams.

Can a default Payment Term be set at the company or project level?

No. Applying a default Payment Term across all new contracts is not included in this initial release. Users must explicitly select the desired Payment Term from the dropdown menu during the commitment creation process. If no term is selected, standard project invoice due date rules apply without discount calculations.
