Workflow History Side Panel Event Parity (iOS)

Background

The Workflow History side panel on mobile now supports additional workflow event types, providing users with more complete visibility into workflow activity. These events include action executions, bulk assignee management, auto-assigned project roles, and workflow terminations. The events display relevant details, such as execution status, failure reasons, assignment changes, termination reasons, and timestamps, and follow the standard platform sort order within the context of the related workflow step.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Read Only' level permissions or higher with the 'View Workflow History' permission on the applicable tool. 

  • The workflow history viewer Permission is gated by the existing "View Workflow History" permission.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the particular tool on an iOS mobile device.

  2. Tap the specific item you want to view.

  3. Tap View Details under the 'Current Workflow Step' section.

  4. Tap Show next to any of the following workflow sections to review additional details:

    • Previous Steps: View completed steps, previous approval decisions, and past responder notes.

    • Current Step: View the active step status, due date, decision type, and assigned responders.

    • Future Steps: Review upcoming decision steps and required assignees.

  5. Optional: If you are an assignee on the workflow step, tap Respond. If a specific action requires you to advance the workflow, tap Continue to move the item to the next workflow step.
