To add Equipment entries to the Daily Log using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.

Create Equipment Entries

This feature is currently in beta.

 Note
Add or create equipment records in the Project's Equipment tool. See Add or Remove Equipment from Projects in the Project level Equipment Tool.
Note: Previously equipment was added and managed added in the Equipment page of the Admin tool.
  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
    Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project.
  2. Tap the quick create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon and select Equipment Entry.
    OR
    Tap the Daily Log tool and tap Equipment. Then tap the create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon. 
  3. Tap into the following fields to enter information.
    • Equipment Name. Tap and select the equipment from the drop-down list.
    • Hours Operating. Tap and enter the number of hours the equipment was active.
    • Hours Idle. Tap and enter the number of hours the equipment was idle.
    • Cost Code. Tap and select the cost code associated with the entry. 
    • Location. Tap and select the location from the drop-down list.
    • Inspected. Tap to mark the checkbox if the equipment was inspected.
    • Inspection Time. Tap and enter what time the equipment was inspected.
    • Comments. Tap and add any comments.
  4. Tap Create.

Create Equipment Entries (Legacy)

 Note

Manage any equipment added to this section by viewing the Equipment list on the Equipment page of the Admin tool.
Note: Requires 'Admin' permissions on the Admin tool.

  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
  2. Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project.
  3. Tap the quick create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon and select Equipment Entry.
    OR
    Tap the Daily Log tool and tap Equipment. Then tap the create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon. 
  4. Tap into the following fields to enter information.
    • Equipment Name: Tap the Equipment Name field. Enter the name of the equipment.

    • # Hours Operating: Enter the number of hours the equipment was operating.

    • # Hours Idle: Enter the number of hours the equipment was idle.

    • Cost Code: Tap the Cost Code field. Select from the drop-down menu the cost code associated with the entry. 

    • LocationSelect a location from the menu. Tap a tiered location to pull up any sub locations. Tap Add to add that location. You may also tap QR in the top right to scan a location's QR code if a team member has Generated Location QR Codes for the jobsite.

    • Inspected: By default, the Inspected button will be set to 'No.' Toggle the Inspected button to 'Yes' if the equipment was inspected that day.

    • Inspection Time: Enter the time the equipment was inspected by selecting the hour and minutes from the menu.

    • Attachments: Tap on the following options to add photo or file attachments to the entry:

      • Camera: Use your mobile device's camera to take a photo that is automatically added to the entry once you exit the camera. Or, before exiting, tap the photo to mark it up. 
      • Photos: Select photos from your device's library. Adding multiple photos adds them directly to the entry, or adding one photo gives the option to mark it up before saving it to the entry. 
      • Files: Select a saved file from your mobile device to add it to the entry. 
    • Notes: Enter any notes that may describe the entry.

  5. Tap Create.
