Workflow History Side Panel Event Parity (Android)
Background
The Workflow History side panel on mobile provides users with a complete and consistent view of an item's workflow activity. It displays workflow events, including automated actions, Bulk assignee changes, auto-assigned project roles, and workflow terminations, in the same order and level of detail as the web experience, based on each user's permissions.
Things to Consider

Required User Permissions: 'Read Only' level permissions or higher with the 'View Workflow History' permission on the applicable tool.

The workflow history viewer Permission is gated by the existing "View Workflow History" permission.
Steps

Navigate to the particular tool on an Android device.

Tap the specific item you want to view.

Tap View Details under the 'Current Workflow Step' section.

Tap Show next to any of the following workflow sections to expand and review step details:

Previous Steps: View completed steps, previous approval decisions, and past responder notes.

Current Step: View active step details, due dates, decision types, and assigned responders.

Future Steps: Review upcoming decision steps and required assignees.

Optional: If you are an assignee on the workflow step, tap Respond. If a specific action requires you to advance the workflow, tap Continue to move the item to the next workflow step.
Workflow Activity & Status Details
Permanent Assignee Replacement: Reviewing permanent replacements allows you to see when a responder has been permanently replaced in the workflow step.

Expand the Current Step section to view the 'Assignees replaced – permanent' record.

Review details including who performed the change, the reason for replacement, and the newly assigned user.
Temporary Assignee Replacement: Temporary replacement details show when a temporary substitute is assigned to act on behalf of another user for a specified date range.

Expand the Current Step section to view the 'Assignees replaced – temporary' record.

View the start and end dates for the temporary replacement, who initiated the change, and the reason provided.

Review any 'Temporary replacement stopped' log entries to confirm when the primary assignee resumed workflow responsibilities.
Note: A record of the temporary replacement remains in the Workflow History under the Previous Steps section once the step has moved on.
Successful Workflow Steps
A successful step indicates that all required responses and approvals have been completed.

Expand the Previous Steps section to view completed steps.

Verify that a green checkmark icon appears next to completed steps and review the responder approval status and timestamp.
Failed Workflow Steps
If an error occurs while advancing a workflow step, a failure toast message or error banner appears to indicate the issue. The Continue button is only available for specific types of actions.

If a red banner displaying an error message (such as "Fail can continue") appears after tapping Continue, review the displayed message.

Check the current step details to confirm required responder assignments or tap Continue again to re-attempt advancing the step.
