Create an Observation from a Location (Android)

Objective

To create an observation from the Locations tool using an Android mobile device. 

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Locations tool using an Android mobile device.
  2. Choose one of the following options to select a location:
    • Scan a QR code.
      1. Tap QR Code and point your camera at the QR code. See Scan a QR Code in the Locations Tool (Android).
    • Select a location from the list manually.
      1. Select the location that you want to create an observation from.
      2. Tap Done to confirm the selected location.
  3. Tap the plus icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon.
  4. Tap Observations.

  5. Select a template to use for the new item, or tap + Create Observation Without a Template.
  6. Select a type for the observation.
  7. Tap into the fields to enter the appropriate information. See Create an Observation (Android).
  8. Tap Save & Finish to save the observation and return to the Locations tool.
    OR
    Tap Save & New to save your changes and begin a new observation.
    Note: The observation is automatically added to the location and the Observations tool.
