Add a User to a Project Using Their Profile Code (Android)

Objective

To add a user to a project using their profile code on an Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Directory tool.
      OR
    • 'Read Only' or 'Standard' level permissions on the Project level Directory tool with the 'Create and Edit Users' granular permission enabled on your permissions template. 
  • Additional Information:
    • In order to have and access their profile code, a person must already have a Procore user account in another project with 'Read Only' level permissions or higher on the Project level Directory tool.
    • Procore users without access to a Procore project have a QR code at the top of their Sidebar screen so others can easily add them to a project.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Directory tool using the Procore app on an Android mobile device.
  2. Tap the QR code icon-qr-mobile.png icon and then tap Scan Code.
  3. On the other person's mobile device, ask them to do the following to open their profile code:
    • Navigate to the Directory tool on another project.
    • Tap the QR code icon-qr-mobile.png icon and then tap Add Me.
  4. Point your device's camera at the person's profile code and tap their name when it appears.
  5. On the Add to Project screen, review or update the following information for the user:
    • First
    • Last
    • Email
    • Company
    • Job Title
    • Mobile Phone
    • Business Phone
    • Business Phone Extension
    • Fax Number
    • Project Permission Template
  6. Tap Add User.
