Objective
To create a group in the Conversations tool on the Procore Android app.
Background
When you create a group in the Conversations tool, you are creating a group conversation that allows you to send a message to a designated team members at the same time. These group messages can be viewed and replied by team members in the Groups section of the Conversations tool, organized by project.

- You are automatically added to a group that you create.
- If the Conversations tool is configured to allow only 'Administrators' to create and manage groups, we recommend keeping at least one Admin in a group so that it can be managed. Admin users are shown with
(Admin)
after their name in the user selection list.
Important
The Conversations tool is compatible with Android version 2023.0403.0803 or later. Please update to the latest version to effectively use the Conversations tool.
Steps
- Open the Procore app on an Android device.
- Tap the project's Conversations tool.
- Tap the plus icon.
- Tap Create Group.
- Select your message recipients
Note: You can create a group that includes recipients from both the Distribution Groups and Users tab.
- Tap Next.
- Enter a group name.
- Confirm the group members and make adjustments if necessary.
- Click Create Group.
The group is created and the screen opens to a new conversation for the group.
