Configure Settings for an Estimate in the Estimating Tab

Objective

To configure individual settings within an Estimate on the Estimating tab.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions for the Bid Board tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Estimating tool.
• Required User Permissions for the Portfolio Planning tool.

Steps

1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
   OR
   Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
2. Click the Estimating tab. 
3. Click the vertical ellipsis on the Estimate. 
4. Toggle the following settings ON or OFF:

   • Flexible table layout (beta)

   • 'Use' Tax Instead of 'Sales' Tax.

   • Use 'Unit Cost' Pricing for Labor. See What is the difference between individual labor rates and unit cost pricing for labor?

   • Individual Labor Rates. See What is the difference between individual labor rates and unit cost pricing for labor?
     Note: This setting is automatically toggled ON when Use "Unit Cost" Pricing for Labor is OFF.

   • Budget Code Validation

   • Round Quantities Using the 'ea' Measurement Unit

   • Group Table Columns

5. Changes are saved automatically.
