Brick by Brick Game

BxB logo.JPG

In this game, students work in teams of 3-4 to build replicas of Procore’s headquarters using building blocks and manage the project’s budget in Procore, with each student playing the role of a project manager, superintendent, or tradesperson; the team that completes their project correctly and with the most profit leftover wins. Note that this activity requires your own Procore account and the Brick by Brick game sets (one set is needed for each team of 3-4 students). See the sections below for information about how to obtain Brick by Brick game sets, setting up your Procore account, and playing the game with your class.

OBTAINING BRICK BY BRICK GAME SETS

The Procore.org team has a limited number of free Brick by Brick game sets that can be shipped to instructors with existing Procore accounts (Brick by Brick requires access to a Procore account). In addition, we ask that you complete the free Brick by Brick facilitator training course (see section below).

In order to obtain these game sets, please email us with your request and include the name of your school, shipping information, and the number of sets you are requesting (each team of 3-4 will need their own game set). Note that our stock of game sets may be limited during certain periods and we may not be able to complete your request at that time.

PLAYING BRICK BY BRICK

Complete this free online course for Brick by Brick facilitators to learn how to set up Brick by Brick and run it with your class, then set up your Procore account to play the game. The students will form teams and create models of Procore's headquarters with building blocks included in the game sets, as well as use Procore to track their budget and manage costs for the project.
