Model Standards with Procore Model Tool

  • Work in a single model
    • Always create a KAST Shell Revit and NWF files
      • Import design files into KAST Shell Revit model
      • Export NWC for each discipline from KAST Shell
      • Create KAST Shell NWF from exported NWCs
      • Publish this NWF to Procore
    • Model status on Procore
      • "For Coordination" until whole building signed off
      • "For Construction" once entire building signed off
  • Have saved viewpoints for every level of Coordination
    • Put Saved Views in viewpoint folder named "Procore" for any views we want to export to Procore
    • Default view should be Bldg Ext w Status Boxes
      • Named "00.Start"
    • Should be one Clean ext view with no status boxes
      • Named "00.Start - Clean"
    • Create a saved view for (at minimum) each unique floor
      • L[XX] - [DESCRIPTION] - [STATUS] - [EXCEPTIONS/INCLUSIONS (if any)]
        • [STATUS]
          • In-Progress
          • For-Construction
          • Not Started
        • Always use "In Progress" unless signoff email has been sent for some or all of the floor
        • e.g.
          • L00 - UG - In Progress
          • L10 - Units - Final
          • L05 - Amenity & Units - Final Units Only"
  • Published Model
    • 3D box indicating all floors for coordination (in Shell Model)
      • Red for floors not yet started
      • Yellow for floors in-progress
      • Orange for floors partially signed-off
      • Green for floors signed-off
    • ALWAYS publish grids to enable 2D views in mobile
      • this enables the project teams to click on walls and floors to get dimensioned 2D views of those elements
      • if you don't see this grid icon on the model in mobile...

  • ...then the team won't be able to do this in the field (note "2D View" next to "Section")
