Bio
Dr. Sandeep Langar is an Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering and Integrated Design at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. in 2013. His research interests are focused on holistically evaluating the adoption and implementation of: Information Technologies concepts such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), sustainable and resilient strategies and technologies, sustainability measurement tools (such as LEED), and enhancing the resilience of built facilities against natural hazards. He is also investigating how Industry 4.0 can be integrated within the built environment to enhance its resilience. Dr. Langar has authored numerous peer and non-peer-reviewed publications and collaborated on funded research projects approximating $400,000 USD (as a PI or Co-PI) with multiple stakeholders from the public and private sectors. He is also a LEED accredited professional and has industry experience from both in the US and India. He is also a reviewer of numerous journals and international conferences.
