What's the difference between a Payment Application and Invoice?

Answer

Avangrid uses Payment Applications to review work completed by a contractor before they submit an Invoice and get paid. While both documents are submitted by the contractor, the biggest differences are in who reviews and approves them (as shown in the table below).
