Import Cost Codes into the Company Level Admin Tool (Windows)
Objective
To import cost codes into your company in Procore with the Imports tool for Windows 10.
Background
Things to Consider
- Required User Permission: 'Admin' level permissions on the Company's Admin tool.
- Additional Information:
- This feature is only available on Windows 10 version 16299 or higher. See Download Procore for Windows 10 or Update the Windows App.
- Only files in CSV format that have been properly filled out are accepted by Procore's Imports tool.
- Important! Imported cost codes cannot be deleted; please carefully review your cost codes before importing them into to Procore.
Prerequisites Steps
- Select the company into which you want to import cost codes in the Procore for Windows 10 App.
- Navigate to the Imports tool.
- Under 'Cost Codes,' click Add Cost Codes.
- Choose from the following options:
- Save & Open Blank Template: Select this option to open, fill out, and save an excel template for your cost codes.
- I've already done this: Select this option to upload a completed CSV of your cost codes to Procore.
Note: Only files in CSV format that have been properly filled out are accepted by Procore's Imports tool. See Save your Excel Template as a CSV file.
- Choose Select CSV File to upload a CSV file of cost codes from your local device.
- Review your cost codes.
Note: If you attempt to import a cost code that already exists, you will be asked whether or not you want to overwrite the existing cost code with the import's information. See image below:
- Choose from the following options:
- Save these records: Select this option to save your records as a CSV and return to complete the import process at another time.
- Upload to Procore: Select this option to proceed with the import process.
- Confirm your decision to import your cost code list by typing your project's name in the text field and clicking Proceed.
Important! Imported cost codes cannot be deleted; please carefully review your cost codes before importing them into to Procore.
