Add Photos to an Inspection Item (iOS)

To add photos to an inspection item on your iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Inspections tool.
  • This asset/item can be viewed or edited in offline mode provided that the asset/item was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device.


  1. Tap the project you would like to work in on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the Inspections tool.
  3. Tap the inspection to which you would like to add photos.
  4. Scroll down to the desired inspection item.
  5. Tap the inspection item's title.
  6. Add photos by tapping the camera icon at the bottom of the inspection item's detail page.

  7. Tap Choose from library or Take photo.
    1. Choose from Library
      1. Tap the folder from which you would like to upload a photo.
      2. Tap each photo you would like up upload.
      3. Tap Done.
    2. Take photo
      1. Take the photo be positioning your device's camera, then tap the camera icon.
        1. Tap the camera rotate icon to switch between the front and back camera.
        2. Tap the T icon on the right to add a timestamp to your picture.
        3. Tap the lightning bolt icon to turn on the camera's flash.
        4. Tap the X icon to close out of the camera.
      2. Mark up the photo by using the photo markup toolbar, which is similar to the drawings markup toolbar.
      3. Tap Save.
  8. All changes are saved.
