Respond to a Punch List Item (Android)

Also available on

Objective

To respond to a punch list item you have been assigned from your Android mobile device.

Background

If a user is assigned to a punch list item, they will receive an email with a link to that punch list item. Users can then respond to that punch list item in Procore and mark it as resolved. Although the assignee can mark the punch list item as "Resolved," it is up to the user who assigned the punch list item to completely close the item out. See Close a Punch List Item

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level users on the project's Punch List tool can resolve a punch list item only if they are listed as the assignee.
      OR
    • If you have 'Standard' or 'Read Only' permissions on the Punch List tool and your user account is assigned the 'Resolve Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' granular permission, you will be able to resolve the punch list item.
  • A status can also be changed from "Resolved" to "Unresolved" and vice versa at any time.
  • This asset/item can be viewed or edited in offline mode provided that the asset/item was previously viewed and cached on your mobile device.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Punch List tool on an Android device.
  2. Tap the punch list item to which you want to respond.
  3. Tap your name under Assignees.
  4. You then have the ability to do one or all of the following:
    • Change the Response Status: Change the status of a punch list item to 'Unresolved' (2017-10-27_15-34-19.png) or 'Resolved' (2017-10-27_15-34-11.png) to indicate whether or not work on an item needs to be completed. Although assignees can mark the punch list item as 'Resolved,' it is up to the user who assigned the punch list item to mark the item as 'Closed.'
    • Add a Comment: Tap the 'Comments' field to add any additional comment for the punch list item.
    • Add an Attachment: Tap 'Attachments' to select from one of the following options:

      • Choose From Procore: Tap to attach an existing photo uploaded to your project's Photos tool.
      • Camera: Tap to take and upload a new photo from your Android mobile device.
  5. Tap Save.
