Take and Add Photos to an Album (Android)

Objective

To take and add photos to an album from your Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission: 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Photos tool.
  • This action can be performed in offline mode (i.e. when an active network connection is not available on your mobile device). Tasks performed in offline mode will be synced with Procore once a network connection has been reestablished. 

  • You can upload 360˚ photos from your phone to Procore's app.
  • Tip: You can also quickly access your device's camera by swiping right from the Project Dashboard.

Steps

To Take a Photo and Add to an Album

  1. Navigate to your project's Photos tool on your Android mobile device.
    This reveals the project's photos feed.
  2. Tap the camera icon (2017-11-09_13-31-50.png).
  3. Position your camera and tap the shutter release button to take the photo. 
  4. Tap Next.

  5. Tap the 'Album' field to select an album to which you want to add the photo.
  6. Tap Upload Photos.

To Add a Photo from Your Phone to an Album

  1. Navigate to your project's Photos tool on your Android mobile device.
  2. Tap the camera icon (2017-11-09_13-31-50.png).
  3. Tap Gallery.
  4. Tap the existing photo you want to add to an album, or tap the hamburger (≡) button to locate a photo from another location stored on your device.
  5. Tap Next.

  6. Tap into the followings fields to fill in the relevant information :
    • Location:Tap the field to select a location associated with the photo.
    • Album: Tap the field to select an album associated with the photo. If no album is selected, the photo will be automatically placed in an album titled 'Unclassified.'
    • Trade: Tap the field to select a trade associated with the photo.
    • Privacy: Toggle the Privacy button to 'On' to mark the photo as private so only Admin users will have access to view the photo.
  7. Tap Upload Photos.
