Add Notes Log Entries (Android)

Objective

To add an entry to the Notes Log from an Android device using Procore's mobile application. 

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Daily Log tool.

Steps

  1. Tap Daily Log from the tools menu in the left navigation.
  2. Select a date you want to create a log for at the top of the screen by using the right and left arrows next to the date, or click the date to pull up a calendar that you can select a day from.
  3. Tap the Notes Log.
  4. Tap the + icon in the left pane.
    (Note: You may need to swipe from the left side of the screen to pull up the left pane.)
  5. Fill in the following information.
    • Notes: Enter any notes that may describe the log entry.

    • Issue: By default, the issue button will be set to No. Tap the Issue button if the note being added is about an issue affecting the project.

    • LocationSelect a location from the menu. Tap a tiered location to pull up any sub locations. If configured, you can tap Add to add a new location.

    • Attachments: Tap the Attachments field. Tap one of the options according to how you would like to attach a file.

      • Choose From Library: Tap Choose From Library to select an image from your device's photo library.
      • Choose From Procore: Tap Choose From Procore to select an image from the project's Photos tool. This tool will need to be enabled on your account for this option to appear.
      • Take Photo: Tap Take Photo to take a photo using your device's camera. Once you take the photo, you will be prompted to mark up the photo by tapping the arrows on the right of the screen. When you're done, tap Save.
      • Quick Snap: Tap Quick Snap to take multiple photos without having to go through the markup step. Take as many photos as needed, and then click the checkmark icon to indicate that you're finished. All photos you took will be added.
  6. Tap Save to save the entry.
