Add Manpower Log Entries (Android)

Objective

To add an entry to the Manpower Log from your Android mobile device.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Daily Log tool.
    AND
    'Standard' and above permissions on the Directory tool.
  • This action can be performed in offline mode (i.e. when an active network connection is not available on your mobile device). Tasks performed in offline mode will be synced with Procore once a network connection has been reestablished. 

Steps

  1. Tap Daily Log from the tools menu in the left navigation.
  2. Tap the arrows surrounding the date to select the day for which you want to create a daily log entry, or simply tap the date to choose a day from the calendar.

  3. Tap the Manpower Log.
  4. Tap Create New (android-create-new.png).
  5. Fill in the following information.
    • Contact / Company: Tap the Contact / Company field. Select the contact or company associated with the work performed.

    • # Workers: Tap the # Workers field. Enter the number of workers from the company that were on site for the day. You can also tap the + or - buttons to set the number.

    • # Hours: Tap the # Hours field. Enter the number of hours the workers from the company were on site for the day. You can also tap the + or - buttons to set the number.

    • Cost Code: Tap the Cost Code field. Select from the drop-down menu the cost code associated with the log entry. 

    • LocationSelect a location from the menu. Tap a tiered location to pull up any sub locations. If configured, you can tap Add to add a new location.

    • Notes: Enter any notes that may describe the log entry.

    • Attachments: Tap the Attachments field. Tap one of the following options:

      • Choose File
        1. Tap the folder from which you would like to upload a file or photo.
        2. Tap the file(s) or photo(s) you would like to attach.
          Note: This action will attach the item(s).
      • Choose from Procore
        1. Tap the album from the project's Photos tool that has the photo(s) you want to include on the inspection.
        2. Tap the photo(s) you would like to attach.
        3. Tap OK.
      • Camera
        1. Take the photo by positioning your device's camera, then tap the circle icon.
          • Along the top of your screen, you have the following options:
            • Tap the geotag button to turn geotagging off or on.
              Note: the geotag button will only appear if you have Location Services off, or if you have not accepted location tracking permissions on your device.
            •  Flash On/Off: Tap the lightning icon to turn your phone's flash on and off. Pictured is flash OFF.
            •  Audio On/Off: Tap the microphone icon to mute or record audio. This option is only enabled in Video mode.
            •  Flip Camera: Tap the flip camera icon to flip to your front-facing or rear-facing camera on your device, if applicable.
            •  Time stamp: Tap this icon to to turn time stamps on or off.
          • Along the bottom of your screen, you have the following options:
            • Gallery: This option lets you chose a photo from your phone's Gallery or file storage to attach to the item.
            • Video: This option lets you take a video and attach it to the item.
              Note: Videos will only record up to 15 seconds.
        2. Tap Next.
        3. Tap Done to add the attachment.
  6. Tap Save.
