Import Users & Vendors into your Company Level Directory Tool (Procore Imports)

Objective

To import users and vendors into your Company Directory with Procore Imports.

Background

In Procore, the Company level Directory contains the contacts who do business with your organization including subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and other entities. The Company level Directory tool also includes all the addresses, projects, bidding, and insurance information critical to your organization. Adding Company level users and vendors to Procore also makes it easier to communicate with the employees who work for the company.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Admin' level permissions on the Company's Directory tool.
Note: Granular Permissions are not supported in the Procore Imports application.
  • Additional Information:
    • This feature is only available to computers running Windows 7 or newer. See Install Procore Imports.
    • Imported contacts cannot be deleted. Please carefully review your contacts before importing them into Procore.
    • When importing contacts, you'll have the option to either import new "users" or new "vendors," which are defined as the following:
      • User: In Procore, a "user" is an individual person who will be logging into Procore, such as your employee or an employee of another company who will be accessing your project.
      • Vendor: In Procore, a "vendor" is another company or entity that members of your company interact with during a project.
    • Important! If you are wanting to add both new users and new companies to associate them with, it is recommended to import users first to create the association with their company. Once you have imported your users, then click the 'Add or Update Existing Vendors' button to Download for Modification the partially completed vendor template file. Fill in the rest of the companies information and then import the file to complete the process.
