Add a Customized Submittal Stamp for PDF Submittal Attachments

Customer success with our tools is our top priority. Accordingly, we have decided to roll back the release of the Submittal Markup feature in order to make some enhancements. These changes are based on customer feedback and will result in improved usability. We expect to reintroduce this feature shortly. In the interim, users who click on an attachment will be taken to a read-only viewer.



To upload a customized company stamp to provide users with the ability to use the integrated PDF markup tool to add stamps to PDF attachments on a submittal.


You can use the steps below to upload a customized company stamp for use with the markup feature for PDF attachments on your submittals.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level users can upload a stamp.
  • Requirements:
    • Image file must be in JPG or PNG format.
    • The minimum dimensions are 500 x 500 pixels.
  • Limitations:
    • Stamps are not dynamic. It is recommended that you upload a separate stamp with a signature or date for each situation (e.g., Approved, Rejected, Revise and Resubmit, and so on). 


  1. Navigate to the project's Submittals tool. 
  2. Locate the submittal that you want to add the stamp to. Then click View.
  3. In the Attachments field, click the PDF file. 
  4. Click Stamp
  5. Then click Add Stamps.

  6. In the Add Submittal Stamps box, upload a JPG or PNG file:
    • Click Attach File(s) and locate the file to upload. 
    • Use a drag-and-drop operation to move the file to the shaded area. 
  7. Click Okay.
    The system uploads the file.
