Create a Change Events Scope, Type, and Reason Custom Report

Objective

To create a report and visual for your project's change events scope, type, and reason.

Background

To recreate change amount breakdown charts

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Admin' level permissions on the Project level Reports tool.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Project level Reports tool.
  2. Click + Create Custom Report.
  3. Enter a Report name (e.g. Change Events).
  4. Enter a description (optional).
  5. Select the tool Change Events.
  6. Click Next Step.
  7. Change the name of the first tab to "Scope."
  8. Click the +Add Tab button and name it "Type."
  9. Click the + Add Tab button and name it "Reason."

  10. For each tab, select the corresponding column value (i.e. Scope, Type, or Reason) and the ROM Total Amount.

  11. Click Create Report.
     

Create Visual 

For each tab, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the + Add Visual button.
  2. Enter in the following information:
    • Title: Enter a title for the visual.
    • Column: Select Scope, Type, or Reason.
    • Measure: Select ROM Total Amount. 
  3. Select the Pie chart option.
  4. Click Save.
