2020

Below are the notable changes to the project's Change Events in 2020.

Enable/Disable the Unit-Based Columns on Change Events (8/28/2020)

Procore has updated the 'Column Display' settings on the Configure Settings page of the Change Events tool. Prior to this release, the checkbox for the unit-based features was turned ON by default on new projects.  Now, the unit-based features are turned OFF on new projects by default.  To learn about these settings, see How do the Change Events tool's column display settings work? and Enable/Disable the Unit-Based Columns on the Change Events Tool.  With this update, you can also now edit the value in the 'Cost ROM' column inline.

Sidebar Removed from Change Events Tool (8/11/2020)

Procore has removed the right sidebar from the project's Change Events tool. This update is part of a larger design effort to progressively remove the sidebar from all Procore tools to increase the amount of available space for each page. For details, see Change Events: Removed Sidebar from Change Events Tool.

New Column Available in the Change Events Line Item Detail Report (8/7/2020)

A new 'PCO Line Item Base Amount' column is available in the Change Events Line Item Detail report. This column displays the total amount of Potential Change Order (PCO) line items without financial markup applied. If you want to include a total with financial markup, the 'PCO Line Item Amount' column continues to be available.

New 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' Budget View (7/14/2020)

Procore released a new 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' view in the Company Admin tool's list of standard budget views. With this view, you can now add and import production units to a project's budget in Procore's Financial Management tools:  Budget, Change Events, and Change Orders. It also interacts with the Timecards, Timesheets and the Reports tools. To learn more, see Project Financials: New 'Procore Labor Productivity Cost' Budget View.

Units of Measure Now Carry Over to New Commitments, CCOs, and CPCOs (5/5/2020)

As a follow-up enhancement to the March 2020 release of the Consistent & Custom Units of Measure feature, Procore has been updated so that the Unit Cost, Unit Qty, and UOM values on a change event line item are now carried over to a newly created Commitment, Commitment Change Order (CCO), and Commitment Potential Change Order (CPCO).  To learn more about the Consistent & Custom Units of Measure release, see Financial Management: Consistent & Custom Units of Measure.

Working Days for Due Dates on RFQs Created from Change Events (3/9/2020)

With the newly added ability to configure which days are classified as 'working days' in a project, due dates for RFQs will now depend on the project's 'working days'. To learn about this feature, see Set Project Working Days. To learn how to change the setting for the RFQs that you create from a Change Event related to commitments, the setting is in the Commitments tool. See Configure Settings: Commitments.

Automatic RFQ Response Attachments (3/10/2020)

Procore has released an update to reduce the amount of time project managers spend uploading attachments to change orders. This update helps to save time uploading change-related documentation by automatically populates the Attachments area of your change orders with the latest attachments on RFQ responses. To learn more, see Change Events: Automatic RFQ Response Attachments.

Enhancements for Unit-Based Financials (3/3/2020)

Procore is excited to announce the general release of several new enhancements for unit-based financials. This update, formerly known as the Unit of Measure (UOM) beta program, was tested by beta program participants throughout 2019. These enhancements provide you with the ability to input unit-based quantities on your budget's line items and to automatically calculate the 'Original Budget' amount. This update also adds a new Unit of Measure (UOM) drop-down list to the Change Events tool. See Project Financials: Enhancements for Unit-Based Financials.

Consistent & Custom Units of Measure (3/3/2020)

If your organization uses a Unit of Measure (UOM) that is not already in Procore's Unit of Measure Master List, you can add a custom unit of measure. For example, you might want to add the unit of measurement: gallon (gal) to give your users the ability to add items for fuel and/or liquid costs in one of Procore's Project Financials tools. With this update, you'll greater flexibility and improved consistency, particularly for users in specialized trades who require additional units of measure. See Add a Unit of Measure to the Unit of Measure Master List.

To provide you with a more modern and consistent data-entry for financial line items, Procore has released an enhanced  experience for these Project Financial tools: Change Events, Commitments, Direct Costs, and Prime Contracts.
