View Notifications in Resource Planning

Objective

To respond messages sent from the Resource Planning tool.

Background

Automatic notifications can be sent to users in Resource Planning when information changes about project, people, assignments, or requests. After notification profiles are created, they can be assigned to users so that they receive the appropriate notifications. Notifications can be viewed in the Resource Planning tool, by email, or in the Resource Planning/LaborChart mobile app.

Things to Consider

Required User Permissions
You cannot respond to notifications. See What messages and alerts can people respond to in Resource Planning?
Notifications can be received by email, the Resource Planning/LaborChart Planning mobile app, or in the Resource Planning tool. See View Notifications in Resource Planning.
- To receive notifications via email, recipients must have the 'Enable Email' checkbox selected, and an 'Email Address' entered on their Resource Planning profile. See Edit People in Resource Planning.
- To receive notifications through the Resource Planning/LaborChart mobile app, recipients must have the 'Enable Mobile Notifications' checkbox marked on their Resource Planning profile. See Edit People in Resource Planning.

View Notifications on the Resource Planning Homepage

Navigate to the Company level Resource Planning tool.
Click the Home tab.

View Notifications by Email

In your email client, open the notification to view.

View Notifications in the Resource Planning/LaborChart Mobile App

On your mobile device, open the Resource Planning/LaborChart mobile app.
Tap the more menu (≡) icon and select Communications.
Tap the notification to view.
