A

Active

Active. Click the toggle to the ON position to set the project to Active, or click the toggle to the OFF position to set the project to Inactive.

Active Project?

Active Project? Place a checkmark in this box to classify the project as Active (recommended) or clear the checkmark from the box to classify it as Inactive.

Accounting Project ID/Number

Accounting Project ID/Number. Enter the accounting project ID or number for the project. This field is only visible and available if the 'Enable 3rd party contract integration via SFTP server' setting for cost types is enabled by your Procore point of contact.

Address (Project)

Address. Enter the address for the project's job site.

Bid Type

Bid Type. Select the bid type from the list. These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Bid Type.

City

City. Enter the full city name for the project. 
Note: Do not abbreviate the city name. 

Code

Code. Enter a project code to help your team identify and locate the project in Procore. This should be an abbreviation of the 'Project Name.'

Note: For Procore users participating in the beta program for the Document Management tool, the 'Code' entered above integrates with the naming standards you specify in the tool's Configure Settings page. To learn more, see What is the 'Code' field on the project creation page?

Columns (Custom Report)

Columns. Place a checkmark in the box(es) that correspond to the columns that you want to include (Note: If you want to change the display order of your report's columns, grab the column by the more menu (≡) and use a drag-and-drop operation to place it in the desired position). 
Note: If you want to include columns that correspond to fields that have been customized for your organization, such as project roles (e.g., Project Manager), project dates (e.g., Project Kickoff), or owner types (i.e., Owner/Builder), you must create those selections first. See Add a Custom Project RoleAdd Custom Project Dates​, or Add a Custom Owner Type.

Confirm Password

Confirm Password. Repeat your new password entry in this box. 

Copy Directory From

Copy Directory From. Select one of the projects in your company's Procore account to copy the user and company information from that project's Directory into your current project's Directory tool. See Copy Directory From One Project to Another.

Copy People From

Copy People From. If you want to add all of the Procore users from an existing project to your new project's Directory tool, select the desired project from the drop-down list. To enable this feature, your company's Procore Administrator must submit a request to your Procore point of contact. See Copy People from One Project to Another

Country

Country*. Select the country from the drop-down list. 

Country/State

Country/State. Select the country and state from the drop-down list. 

Current Password

Current Password. Enter the password you currently use to log into Procore.

Department (Custom Report)

Department. Filter the report by department, select one or more from the list. These selections are created in the Company level Admin tool. See Add a Custom Department.

Departments

Departments. Select one or more departments who have responsibility for the project. These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Custom Company Projects.
Note: These departments appear in the Timecard and Directory tool, and may also appear in other Procore tools depending on your company's specific configuration.

Description (Project)

Description. Enter a brief project summary.

Designated Market Area

Designated Market Area. Enter the designated market area for the project.
Note: This field is only visible and available if the 'Include Store Number and Designated Market Area' setting is enabled in the 'Defaults' section of the Company Admin tool.

Enable County Filter

Enable County Filter. Lets users filter the Portfolio views by county.  A checkmark shows the County drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. For information about how Procore determines the county for a project, see Add a New Project. For information about how Procore determines the county for a project, see Add or Edit a New Project

Enable Department Filter

Enable Department Filter. A checkmark shows the Department drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list.  Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Department.

Enable Office Filter

Enable Office Filter. A checkmark shows the Office drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. 

Enable Owner Filter

Enable Owner Filter. A checkmark shows the Owner drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. 

Enable Owner Type

Enable Owner Type. A checkmark shows the Owner Type drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Owner Type

Enable Parent Job Filter

Enable Parent Job Filter. A checkmark shows the Parent Job drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. See Add a New ProjectAdd or Edit General Project Information, and What's the difference between a job, a parent job, and a sub job?

Enable Program Filter

Enable Program Filter. Lets users filter the Portfolio views by programs. A checkmark shows the Programs drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add Programs.

Enable Project Role Filters

Enable Project Role Filter. If you have created one or more custom project roles (see Add a Custom Project Role), an enable option option appears for each individual role. A checkmark shows the corresponding drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the corresponding list. 

Enable Region Filter

Enable Region Filter. A checkmark shows the Region drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list.  Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add Custom Project Regions.

Enable Stage Filter

Enable Stage Filter. Lets users filter the Portfolio views by project stage. A checkmark shows the Stage drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Stage.

Enable Status Filter

Enable Status Filter. Lets users filter the Portfolio views by project status. A checkmark shows the Status drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list. See Change a Project's Status to Active or Inactive.

Enable Type Filter

Enable Type Filter. A checkmark shows the Status drop-down list. Clear the checkmark to hide the list.   Menu options are customized in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Type.

Completion Date

Completion Date*. Select the anticipated project completion date. Once the project has begun, you can compare this field against the actual finish date.

Estimated End Date

Estimated End Date*. This represents the date that the project will end and also will be used to calculate construction volume.

Estimated Project Value

Estimated Project Value*. Enter the anticipated project value upon completion. Enter a value to the nearest whole number. For example, if your project's estimated value is $18 million dollars, enter $18,000,000.00 in the box.

Start Date

Start Date*. This represents the date that the project will start and also will be used to calculate construction volume.

Estimated Value

Estimated Value*. Enter the anticipated project value upon completion. Enter a value to the nearest whole number. For example, if your project's estimated value is $18 million dollars, enter $18,000,000.00 in the box.

Executive Dashboard (View)

*Executive Dashboard. For users with 'Admin' level permission to the Portfolio tool, this view shows data visualizations of your projects by program, stage, type, department, and office. See View the Executive Dashboard in the Portfolio Tool

Fax (Job)

Fax. Enter the onsite fax number (if available). This gives team members the ability to see and use the project's fax number when needed. 

Financial Views (View)

*Financial Views. Click this link and then select one of these options from the drop-down menu: Budget VarianceContract VarianceContract Summary, or Commitment Summary. See Switch Between Financial Views.

Flag (Project)

Flag. Select a color for the project flag from the drop-down list. The system's default color selections are: RED, YELLOW, and GREEN. This allows you to visually organize your projects (e.g., you might want to flag internal projects as RED and commercial projects as GREEN).

Group By (Custom Report)

Group By. Select how to group your report information. Your grouping options are: Program, Stage, Type, and Office Name

Job Fax

Job Fax. Enter the onsite fax number here (if available). This gives team members the ability to see and use the project's fax number when needed. 

Job Phone

Job Phone. Enter in the main contact phone number of the job site. Team members will be able to see this phone number and use it if desired.

Job Number

Job Number. Enter a unique project ID or number to differentiate it from other company projects.

Language - Country

Language-Country: Select the language you want the project to display in.
Note: If 'None Selected' is chosen, the project's language will match the company's language for users that have not changed their user account's language in 'My Profile Settings'. See Can I change the language of my Company, Project, or User in Procore?

Logo (Project)

Logo. Drag and drop an image or click the area to select an image file to upload as a logo for the project. The file should have dimensions of 200 x 70 pixels, must not exceed the 3MB maximum, and must be saved in the GIF, JPG, or PNG file format. To change this logo at a later time, see Update General Project Information

M

My Open Items (View)

My Open Items. Shows any tasks to which you have been assigned in other Procore tools where your action is required. See View My Open Items in the Portfolio Tool.

Name (Custom Report)

Name. Enter a name for the custom report (e.g., Key Projects by Program). This is a required field.

Name (Project)

Name*. Enter a name for the project. This is a required field.

New Password

New Password. Enter a new password (Note: A checkmark appears next to each password requirement that has been satisfied).

Office

Office. Choose the office that is managing this project. These selections are created in the company's Admin tool. See Add an Office Location.

Office (Custom Report)

Office. Filter the report by office location, select one or more from the list. These selections are created in the Company level Admin tool. See Add an Office Location.

Owner

Owner. Select the owner type from the drop-down list. These selections are created in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Owner Type.

Owner Type

Owner Type. Select the owner type from the drop-down list. These selections are created in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Owner Type.

Parent Job

Parent Job. Select the name of the parent project in Procore from the drop-down list. In Procore, a parent job is a Procore project that has been designated as the 'parent' project for one or more related project(s) in Procore's Portfolio tool. To learn more, see What's the difference between a job, a parent job, and a sub job?

Parent (Project)

Parent Project. Select the name of the parent project in Procore from the drop-down list. In Procore, a parent job is a Procore project that has been designated as the 'parent' project for one or more related project(s) in Procore's Portfolio tool. To learn more, see What's the difference between a job, a parent job, and a sub job?

Phone (Job)

Phone. Enter in the main contact phone number for the job site. Team members will be able to see this phone number.

Photo (Project)

Photo. Drag and drop an image or click the area to select an image file to upload as the project photo. The file should have dimensions of 200 x 100 pixels, must not exceed the 3MB maximum, and must be saved in the GIF, JPG, or PNG file format. To change this photo at a later time, see Update General Project Information or Add a Project Photo.

Program

Program. Select the program to classify your project under. ​These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add Programs.
Note: You can view your projects by program using the Programs tool.

Program (Custom Report)

Program. Filter the custom report data by program, select one or more from the list. These selections are created in the Company level Admin tool. See Add Programs.

Project Address

Project Address. Enter the job site's physical address.

Project Description

Project Description. Enter a brief project summary.

Project Flag

Project Flag. Select a color for the project flag from the drop-down list. The system's default color selections are: RED, YELLOW, and GREEN. This lets you visually organize your projects (e.g., you might want to flag internal projects as RED and commercial projects as GREEN). 

Project Name

Project Name*. Enter the project name. This is the street address or construction project name. It displays in a variety of places in the Procore web application, including the Select a Project menu, CSV and PDF exports, and custom reports.

Project Number

Project Number. Enter a unique project ID or number to differentiate it from other company projects.

Project Photo

Project Photo. Click the photo area and then upload the photo that you want appear as the project photo on the project's Home page. The image must not exceed the 3MB maximum. It must also be saved in the GIF, JPG, or PNG file format. To change this photo at a later time, see Add or Edit General Project Information or Add a Project Photo.

Projects (View)

Projects. Lists all the projects to which you have been granted access permission. When 'Projects' is the active tab, you can also switch between views. See Switch Between Views in the Project List.

Project Stage

Project Stage. Select a project stage from the list. Depending on your selection, additional Procore features may be enabled (e.g., if you select the Bidding stage, the project's Bidding tool will be enabled in Procore). These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add Custom Project Stages to Your Company.

Project Template

Project Template. Choose a project template from the list or choose 'Do Not Apply a Template'.
Notes:

  • BETA If you are participating in Procore's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) beta program and creating your first project, always select 'Do Not Apply a Template'. 
  • This field is only visible and available when the project templates feature is enabled on your company's Procore account.
  • To select a template from the list, the desired project template must be active. See Configure a Project Template .
Project Type

Project Type. Select a project type from the drop-down list. These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Type.

Region

Region. Select the region you want to classify your project into. These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add Project Regions.
Note: You can view projects by region in the Portfolio tool.

Stage (Custom Report)

Stage. Filter the custom report data by stage, select one or more from the list. These selections are created in the Company level Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Stage.

Stage (Project)

Stage. Select a project stage from the list. These selections are created with the company's Admin tool. See Add Custom Project Stages to Your Company.

Store Number 

Store Number. Enter the store number for the project. This field is only visible and available if the 'Include Store Number and Designated Market Area' setting is enabled in the 'Default Project Settings' section of the Company Admin tool.

State

State. Select the state for the project from the drop-down list.

Status (Custom Report)

Status. Filter the custom report data by status by selecting Active, Inactive, or All from this list. 

Square Feet

Square Feet. Enter the project's square footage.

Template (Project)

Template. Choose a project template from the list or choose 'Do Not Apply a Template'.

  • This field is only visible and available when the project templates feature is enabled on your company's Procore account.
  • To select a template from the list, the desired project template must be active. See Configure a Project Template.
Test Project

Test Project: Mark the checkbox if this project is being used for learning purposes only. It is important to note that marking a project as a 'Test Project' does not exclude it from your account’s Project Cap. See What is a Test Project?

Timezone

Timezone*. Choose the correct time zone for the project from the drop-down list. This time zone will determine time stamps on items in the project.

Type (Custom Report)

Type. Filter the custom report data by project type, select one or more from the list. These selections are created in the Company level Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Type.

Type (Project)

Type. Select a project type from the drop-down list. These selections are created in the company's Admin tool. See Add a Custom Project Type.

Warranty End Date

Warranty End Date. Select the end date for the construction contract warranty.

Warranty Start Date

Warranty Start Date. Select the start date for the construction contract warranty.

ZIP

Zip. Enter the ZIP/postal code for the project.
Note: Procore uses a third-party service to automatically determine the County name based on the 'Address' and 'ZIP' fields. Since this is auto-determined, there is no data-entry for County in the Create New Project page. To change the County value, see Update General Project Information.
