Below are the notable changes to the Company level Equipment tool.
Equipment Telematics is now generally available. Sync your equipment data to Procore to get a clear view of your assets. This integration provides real-time location and helps you power workflows, speed up field reporting, onboard equipment faster, and eliminate data silos. We currently support connections with Caterpillar, John Deere, and Samsara. See Configure Telematics for Caterpillar, John Deere, Samsara, and United Rentals (beta).
Procore has introduced custom fields for the Equipment tool, enhancing equipment management. You can create and manage custom fields for Equipment fieldsets in the company level Admin tool, based on equipment categories, such as vehicles or tools. These custom fields are accessible in the Equipment register (where they can also be imported as an Excel file) and in the 360 reporting tool. To learn more, see Create New Custom Fields.
Procore is introducing the ability to create custom fields for equipment time entries and automatically sync those entries to the daily log, enhancing field reporting and minimizing duplicative data entry. Equipment Time Tracking empowers teams to capture more detailed data from the field and streamlines the process by reducing manual input. See Equipment Setup Guide.
Users track maintenance issues for their equipment, providing valuable insights into machine health and scheduling. Equipment Maintenance Logs allows for better coordination between the field, office, and maintenance teams, enhancing planning and decision-making. See Create a Maintenance Record.
You can now bulk assign equipment to projects. The ‘Current Project' column has been updated to ‘Onsite’ and you can now mark single or multiple equipment records on site. Additionally, you can associate rented or subcontracted equipment with vendor in your Company level Directory. See Add Equipment to Projects and Edit Company Equipment.
Customers can define custom equipment statuses, enhancing workflow management for tasks such as maintenance, rentals, check-ins, check-outs, and equipment call-offs. Additionally, you can now edit the ‘Status' and ‘Onsite’ fields directly inline the Equipment registry. See Configure Custom Statuses for Equipment and and Edit Company Equipment.
