Add and Manage Tasks in a Bid Board Project

Objective

To add or manage tasks in a Bid Board or Portfolio Planning project.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the company's Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool and select the project.
    OR
  2. Navigate to the project's Estimating tool.
  3. Click the Overview tab.
  4. Follow the steps below for the available actions:

Add a Task

  1. In the Tasks section, click the add  icon-plus.png icon.
  2. Complete the following information:
    • Description: Enter a description for the task.
    • Due Date: Click to select a due date for the task. 
    • Due Time: Click to select a time for the task to be due. 
    • Assigned to: Click the field to select a user to assign the task to. Click Select to confirm the assignee. 
      Note: The user will receive an email notification to notify them of the task.
  3. Click Create.

Edit a Task

  1. In the Tasks section, locate the task that you want to edit.
  2. Click the vertical ellipsis icon-ellipsis-vertical.png icon for the task. 
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Update the information for the task as necessary.
  5. Click Save

Delete a Task

  1. In the Tasks section, locate the task that you want to delete.
  2. Click the vertical ellipsis icon-ellipsis-vertical.png icon on the task. 
  3. Click Delete.
    Note: Deleting a task is permanent. 
  4. Click Delete to confirm that you want to permanently delete the task.
