Set Default Change Order Configurations

Objective

To set the default change order configurations by editing or adding change reasons, change types, and change event statuses.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission: 'Admin' on the company's Admin tab.
  • You cannot delete a change reason that is already associated with a change order.

Customize Change Order Reasons

  1. Go to your company's Admin tool.
  2. Click Change Order Configuration in the right pane.
  3. To make existing change reasons unavailable, deselect the checkbox in the "Available" column for the affected change reason. To completely remove the change reason, click the x icon.
    (Note: You cannot delete a change reason that is already associated with a change order.)
  4. You can add a change reason by typing a change reason into the empty text box and clicking the add (+) icon.

Customize Change Types​

  1. Go to your company's Admin tool.
  2. Click Change Order Configuration in the right pane. 
  3. Scroll to Change Types. To make existing change types unavailable, deselect the checkbox in the "Available" column for the affected change type. To completely remove the change type, click the x icon.
    (Note: You cannot delete a change type that is already associated with a change order.)
  4. You can add a change type by typing a change type into the empty text box, adding an abbreviation and clicking the add (+) icon.
    Note: You can only set a change type when creating a change event, but you can filter by change types when looking at Prime PCOs.

Customize Change Event Statuses

  1. Go to your company's Admin tool.
  2. Click Change Order Configuration in the right pane.
  3. Scroll to Change Event statuses.  To make existing statuses unavailable, deselect the checkbox in the "Available" column for the affected status. To completely remove the change type, click the x icon.
    (Note: You cannot delete a status that is already associated with a change order.)
  4. You can add a change event status by typing the status in the empty text box, selecting whether the status is considered Open, Closed, Void, or Pending, and clicking the add (+) icon.
