Procore Pay extends the Invoice Management icon-external-link.png functionality in the Procore web application to handle the payment process between general and specialty contractors.

Answer

When designing compliance templates for Procore Pay, define broad template requirements that can be applied to all commitment contracts or all invoices. Here are ideas to keep in mind:

  • Involve relevant teams in template design. Collaborate with your legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure your template's requirements cover necessary areas.
  • Include reusable requirements: Add requirements that can be reused across all project commitment contracts and invoices.
  • Focus on critical compliance: Don't overload templates with unnecessary requirements that increase manual update burdens. For example, if you widely collect performance or payment bonds for public sector work, add your bond requirements for commitments on the template. However, if your company’s focus is primarily on private sector work, consider leaving performance or payment bonds off your template.
