Configure Cost Codes for General Condition Inights

Objective

Configure the cost codes that are used to track your company’s general condition funds.

Background

Procore Insights allows users to view a burndown chart with a risk level for overspending on their general conditions budget.

Configure global general condition cost codes

  1. Navigate to Account Home. The general condition insights card is displayed in the right side panel.
  2. Click View all projects.
  3. Click on the global cost code selector on the upper left, below the page header. A menu with checkboxes next to each cost code will appear.
    • If there is more than one cost code list, select the desired list from the selector at the top of the menu. You can make selections from multiple lists.
  4. Select the checkboxes on the divisions and/or specific cost codes where general conditions are tracked
    • Expand the chevron next to each division to see individual cost codes.
  5. Select the switch located at the cost code parent level to indicate if project specific cost codes in that division should be included in general conditions by default.

To make individual project specific cost code selections, proceed to the next section.

Configure project specific general condition cost codes

  1. Navigate to a project’s general condition insights either from the list of projects from Account Home or from the insight card displayed on the right side panel on Project Home.
    • From Account Home, select an individual project.
    • From Project Home, click View Details.
  2. Click on the project cost code selector in the upper left, below the page header and next to the project dates and project type selectors.
  3. If a project has project specific codes, those cost codes will be enabled for selection to users with Project Admin permissions.
    • Global cost codes are disabled in the project cost code selector for both users with Project and Company Admin permissions.
