Construction Platform Release Notes

Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the week ending Friday, May 1, 2020.

Core Tools

Admin
New Custom Fields Data Types

A user can now select "Rich Text" or "Date" as a new data type when creating new custom fields at the company admin level. These data types are available on all tools with custom fields. See Create New Custom Fields.
Note: Rich text is currently not supported on fieldsets created for the Manpower log.

Reorder Custom Fields in a Fieldset

A user can now reorder custom fields after they have been applied to a fieldset by clicking and dragging the cluster of dots to the left of the custom field name. See Create New Custom Fields.
Note: You can only reorder the custom fields not any of the Procore Standard fields.

New Required Project Fields

The fields 'total value', 'start date', and 'completion date' are now required for all new and existing Procore projects. See Update General Project Information.

Directory
Self-Unlock Account by Resetting Password

If your Procore account enforces a lockout policy, a user who has failed to log in successfully after three attempts will automatically be locked out of their user account. In addition to the option to contact your company's Procore account administrator to unlock their account, users now have the alternative option to unlock their account themselves by resetting their password. See How do I reset an unknown password?

Permissions
New Granular Permission to Mark Official Responses on RFIs

Procore has added a new granular permission to allow users to mark official responses on an RFI if they are the RFI's creator or if they are an Assignee or a Distribution List member on the RFI. See Grant Granular Permissions in a Permission Template.  Note: The 'Only Show Official Responses to Standard and Read-Only Users' configuration setting must be turned OFF in order for an RFI's creator to view all responses to the RFI. See Configure Advanced Settings: RFIs.
