Construction Platform Release Notes

Below are notable changes for the Procore web application for the week ending Friday, October 4, 2019.

Core Tools

Platform
New Embedded Experience and Updates to App Management

Third-party apps can now be developed as embedded experiences, allowing Procore users to interact with them within the Procore web app. The App Management settings in the Company Admin tool have also been updated. See Procore: Embedded Experience and New App Management Features.

Coordination Issues
New Action Banners for the Coordination Issues Tool

Procore has added action banners to the Coordination Issues tool to improve the call to action and simplify the UI. When viewing a coordination issue, the relevant action buttons are located inside the banner, and the color of the banner depends on the status of the coordination issue. For example, issues with an 'Opened' or 'Released' status are blue, issues 'Ready for Review' are yellow, issues that are 'Elevated' are red, and issues that are 'Closed' are gray. These colors are reflected in the plugin, the Coordination Issues tool's dashboard, and coordination issue pins in the Drawings tool.

Inspections
'Due Date' Added to Inspections

Users can now add a 'Due Date' to inspections to help ensure inspections are completed on time. See Create a Project Level Inspection.

Photos
Additional Categories for 'Smart Search' in the Photos Tool

Procore has added 12 new categories to use for searching photos in the Photos tool: electrical, nighttime, ppe or personal protective equipment, fencing, retail, earthwork, facade, overhead, ffe or furniture fixtures equipment, bathroom, heavy machinery, and rebar. Since photos need to be scanned for these specific categories, this change will only apply to photos uploaded after this release. Existing categories are aerialpipingpaper, and framing. See Search for and Filter Photos.

Submittals
'Dynamic Approver Due Dates' Configuration Setting for Submittals

When the 'Dynamic Approver Due Dates' setting is enabled and a submittal's workflow includes multiple users and one or more users update their responses early or late, the system will automatically adjust the due dates for any remaining users in the workflow. See Configure Settings: Submittals Tool.
