Drawings: Download PDFs with Smart Markup
Users now have the ability to download vector (i.e., unflattened) drawings with the markup embedded in the PDF as hyperlinks. It gives the user their original, unflattened drawing, maintaining any vector layers/elements and also includes any markup and linked items (e.g., RFIs, Submittals, Documents, Punch, Observations, Inspections, Sketches, linked Drawings and Progress Photos). Linked items go directly back into Procore.
Why is this important?
In construction, adding markup to a drawing is crucial to the building process. Procore provides a ton of value by linking items to drawings, and allowing you to click on it to see the info in Procore. Now, when drawings are downloaded out of Procore with markup we keep the markups on a separate layer which links back into Procore. Drawings will become a more complete document of record.
The links require a Procore login and will respect permissions and filters in place.
