Add a Task (iOS)

Objective

To add tasks to the Tasks tool using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
    Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project.
  2. Tap the quick create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon and select Task.
    OR
    Tap the Tasks tool and tap the create icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png icon.
  3. Tap to enter information into the following fields as appropriate:
    • Title: Enter a title for the task. 
    • Status: Select one of the following statuses:
      • Initiated: Indicates the task has been created. 
      • In Progress: Indicates work on the task has started. 
      • Ready for Review: Indicates the task is complete and ready for review. 
      • Closed: Indicates the task and review of the work has been successfully completed. 
      • Void: Indicates the task has been marked as void. 
    • Attachments: 
      • icon-camera-circle-mobile.svg Camera: Tap to take a new photo to add to the task.
      • icon-photo-circle-mobile.png Library: Tap to select an image from your device's photo library or Procore Photos. After you select the photos, click Add or Done.
      • icon-attachment-circle-mobile.svg Files: Tap to add files from your device to the task. 
    • Category: Choose a category for the task.  
    • Due Date: Select a date from the calendar for the task to be due.
      Note: The Due Date field is automatically populated based on the default number of days specified on the Tasks tool's Configure Settings page. See Configure Advanced Settings: Tasks. The due date also respects which days are set as 'working days' for the project. See Set Project Working Days.
    • Assignee(s): Select one or more project users from the drop-down menu, or select None if there is no assignee. Assignees must have 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions on the project's Tasks tool. 
    • Description: Enter a description that further describes the task.
    • Private: 
      • Tap the toggle ON to make the task private.
        Note: Private tasks are only visible to the task's creator, assignee(s), and users with 'Admin' level permission on the project's Tasks tool. 
      • Tap the toggle OFF to make the task public to users with permissions to the Tasks tool.
  4. Tap Create.
