Add Punch List Items to a Drawing (iOS)

Objective

To add punch list items to a drawing in the Drawings tool on an iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • To add punch list items to a drawing: 
    • 'Read Only' permission or higher level permissions on the project's Drawings tool.
      AND
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Punch List tool.
      Note: While 'Standard' level users can create punch list items, they cannot assign a punch item unless they have been granted special permission to act as the Punch Item Manager. 
  • To publish punch list item markups on a drawing:
    • 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Drawings tool. See What is the difference between personal and published drawing markups?

Steps

1. Open the Procore app on your iOS mobile device.
2. Tap the project's Drawings tool.
3. Tap the drawing you want to add a punch list item to.
4. Tap the Pin  icon in the markup toolbar.
5. Tap the Punch  icon.
6. Place a punch item pin on the drawing by tapping the area where you want the item to appear.
7. After the punch item has been placed, choose from the following options: 
   • To link an existing item:
     1. Tap Link Existing to select an existing punch to add.
     2. Select the item to add it to the pin.
   • To create a new punch item:
     1. Select a template or tap + Create Punch Without a Template.
     2. Enter any relevant information needed. See Create a Punch List Item (iOS)
     3. Tap Save.
8. The punch pin displays the number assigned to the punch list item.
   Note: Gray punch pin icons denote a closed punch list item. Orange punch pin items denote an open punch item.
9. If you have 'Standard' or 'Admin' permissions to the Drawings tool and want to publish the punch markup:
   1. Tap the Select markup tool.
   2. Tap the punch pin and tap Publish.
      Note: If you want Procore to automatically publish any new punch list items you add to drawings in this project, set 'Auto-Publish Punch Pins' to ON.
