Add Inspection Entries (iOS)

Objective

To add Inspection entries to the Daily Log using the Procore app on an iOS mobile device.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Open the Procore app on an iOS mobile device and select a project.
    Note: This loads the Tools screen for the project.
  2. Tap the date you want to create a new entry for.
  3. Tap Inspections.
  4. Tap icon-plus-quick-create-mobile2.png to create a new entry.
  5. Tap into the following fields to enter information:
    • Inspector: Tap the Inspector field. Enter the name of the person who performed the inspection.

    • Start Time: Tap the Start Time field. Enter the starting time by selecting the hours and minutes from the menus.

    • End Time: Tap the End Time field. Enter the starting time by selecting the hours and minutes from the menus.

    • Inspection Type: Tap the Inspection Type field. Enter the type of inspection that was performed.

    • Inspecting Entity: Tap the Inspecting Entity field. Enter the type of inspector that performed the inspection.

    • LocationSelect a location from the menu. Tap a tiered location to pull up any sub locations. Tap Add to add that location. You may also tap QR in the top right to scan a location's QR code if a team member has Generated Location QR Codes for the jobsite.

    • Area: Tap the Area field. Enter the area within the specified location that was inspected. 

    • Comments: Enter any comments that may be needed to further describe the entry.

    • Attachments: Tap on the following options to add photo or file attachments to the entry:

      • Camera: Use your mobile device's camera to take a photo that is automatically added to the entry once you exit the camera. Or, before exiting, tap the photo to mark it up. 
      • Photos: Select photos from your device's library. Adding multiple photos adds them directly to the entry, or adding one photo gives the option to mark it up before saving it to the entry. 
      • Files: Select a saved file from your mobile device to add it to the entry. 
  6. Tap Create.
