Enabling the Procore Integration on an Honest Buildings Project

Objective

To enable the Procore integration on an Honest Buildings project.

Background

Turning on the Procore integration on an Honest Buildings project allows Honest Buildings users to pull in key project information from Procore into the same project in Honest Buildings.

Things to Consider

Required User Permission
  • In order to see the Procore integration in Honest Buildings, the company must have the company-level integration flag turned on.
  • In order for a user to turn on the Procore integration on an Honest Buildings project, the user must have company admin, building admin, or project admin permissions in Honest Buildings.
Requirements
  • The user must have an Honest Buildings account, and access to the Procore integration granted by the Honest Buildings Customer Success Team.
Prerequisites
  • Your Honest Buildings point of contact must turn on the Procore integration in your Honest Buildings account.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the “edit” state of an existing Honest Buildings project, or add a new project. Clicking the pen to edit an existing project or clicking “Add Project” will open up the project details, where the toggle to turn on the Procore integration lives.

  1. Toggle on the Procore integration on the project. Toggling on the Procore integration on the project and saving these changes will add a card to the Project Page for the Procore integration.

Log Into and Out of Procore via the Honest Buildings Project Page

Objective

To log in an out of Procore via the Honest Buildings Project Page, in order to activate the Procore integration for that project.

Background

In order for an Honest Buildings user to view Procore information in an Honest Buildings project, the user must log into Procore via a link in Honest Buildings. The user will be redirected back to Honest Buildings to continue the integration setup process.

Things to Consider

Required User Permissions
  • In order to see the Procore integration in Honest Buildings, the company must have the company-level integration flag turned on.
  • In order for a user to turn on the Procore integration on an Honest Buildings project, the user must have company admin, building admin, or project admin permissions in Honest Buildings.
  • In order for a user to log into Procore via an Honest Buildings project, the user must have a Procore account with Project Level Standard permission to RFIs and Submittals.
Requirements
  • The user must have an Honest Buildings account, and access to the Procore integration granted by the Honest Buildings Customer Success Team.
  • The user must have a Procore account and Standard Project Level permission to the Procore project.
Prerequisites
  • Your Honest Buildings point of contact must turn on the Procore integration in your Honest Buildings account.

Steps

  1. To log into Procore via the Honest Buildings project, navigate to the Procore card on the Honest Buildings Project Page, and click “Login to Procore”.

  1. Log into Procore on the Procore login screen.

Once successfully logged in, authorize Honest Buildings to use your Procore account. You will then be redirected back to Honest Buildings.

  1. To log out of Procore via the Honest Buildings project, open the menu on the top right corner of the Procore card on the Honest Buildings Project Page. Select the option “Logout” to Logout of Procore.

Connect or Disconnect a Procore Project with an Honest Buildings Project

Objective

Connect or disconnect an Honest Buildings project with a Procore project.

Background

In order for an Honest Buildings user to view Procore information in an Honest Buildings project, the user must connect a Procore with the Honest Buildings project. Once connected, the list of RFI and Submittals in Procore can be viewed in Honest Buildings.

Steps

  1. Once successfully logged into Procore, click the button “Select a Project” on the Procore card on the Honest Buildings project page.

  1. Select the name of the company to which the Procore project is associated with. This company will be the owner of that Procore project.
  2. Select the name of the Procore project that you wish to connect with the Honest Buildings procore.

  1. Disconnect the Procore project with the Honest Buildings project by selecting the “Disconnect Project” option from the menu on the top right of the Procore card.
