Add a Category to the Cost Catalog

Objective

To add a category to the Cost Catalog in Procore.

Background

When adding items to the Cost Catalog tool in Procore, you can choose to create a new category to organize items under. See What is the difference between a catalog, category, and item in the Cost Catalog? for more information.

Things to Consider

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Cost Catalog tool in Procore.
  2. On the left side panel, locate the catalog that you want to add a category to.
    Note: Click the expand arrow icon-expand-materials-esticom.png icon to expand the contents of a catalog if needed. 
  3. At the bottom of the catalog in the side panel, click Add Category.
  4. Enter a name for the category.
  5. Click Add
