How should I adjust my budget view if the Prime Contract tool is disabled?

If the Prime Contracts tool is disabled in your Procore company account, your company's Procore Administrator can follow the steps below to check the status of the Prime Contracts tool in the account and to disable the Prime Contract columns from your Procore Standard Budget view. 

How to check the status of the Prime Contracts tool

To check the status of the Prime Contracts tool in your company account: 

  1. Navigate to the Company Admin tool. 
  2. Under Company Settings, click Account Information
  3. Under Tools by Product Category, expand the Financial Management group. 
  4. Look for Prime Contracts in the list.
    Note: If Licensed appears under Contract Type, the tool is enabled on the project.  

How to modify a budget view's columns when the Prime Contracts tool is disabled

To modify the budget view's columns when the Prime Contracts tool is disalbed:

  1. Navigate to Company Admin tool.
  2. Under Tool Settings, click Budget.
  3. Under Budget Views, click one (1) of the budget views that you want to modify.
     Note
    This example shows you how to modify the Procore Standard Budget view. However, the budget views that you choose to modify on your company account may be different. 
  1. Click Configure Columns
    This opens the Configure Columns window. 

Revised Budget

To modify the calculated column named 'Revised Budget' by removing 'Approved COs' from the calculation. 

Steps from the Configure Columns window… Settings
  1. Under Calculated, highlight Revised Budget.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Under Edit Calculated Column, do the following:
    1. Keep these settings:
      • Original Budget Amount
      • Plus (+ Symbol)
      • Budget Modifications
    2. Click Remove next to Approved COs.
  4. Click Update.

Forecast to Complete

To modify the automatic calculation in the standard column named 'Forecast to Complete.' 

Steps from the Configure Columns window… Settings
  1. Under Calculated, highlight Forecast to Complete.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Under Edit Calculated Column, do the following:
    1. Update the settings to match these:
      • Revised Budget
      • Minus (- Symbol)
      • Projected Costs
  4. Click Update.

Projected over Under

To modify the automatic calculation in the calculated column named 'Projected over Under.' 

Steps from the Configure Columns window… Settings
  1. Under Calculated, highlight Project over Under.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Under Edit Calculated Column, do the following:
    1. Update the settings to match these:
      • Revised Budget
      • Minus (- Symbol)
      • Estimated Cost at Completion
  4. Click Update.

Hide the Recommended Columns 

To hide the recommended columns when the Prime Contracts tool is disabled. 

Steps from the Configure Columns window… Settings
  1. Under Calculated, remove the checkmark from the Projected Budget box. 
  2. Under Source, remove the checkmark from the Approved COs and Pending Budget Changes box. 
  3. Leave all other settings as is. 
  4. Click the (x) symbol to close the Configure Columns window.
