How do I add a Bid Board project to the Portfolio tool in Procore?

The Bid Board tool is also known as Portfolio Planning when the Procore for Owners point-of-view dictionary is configured for your company's account.

Background

While you can perform essential tasks (such as adding takeoffs and estimates) on a new project created from the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool, you will need to add the project to the Portfolio tool in order to take advantage of all tools that you have access to in Procore.

Answer

Follow the steps below to add a project to the Portfolio:

From the Project

  1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool.
  2. Locate the project that you want to add to the Portfolio tool.
  3. Click the project name to open it.
  4. Click the vertical ellipsis icon-ellipsis-vertical.pngicon at the top of the page.
  5. Click Add to Portfolio.
  6. If you would like to apply a project template to the project, click the Project Template menu and select the project you want to use as a template.
  7. Click Add to Portfolio.
    The project is automatically added to the Portfolio tool, where it can be accessed by project users.

From the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning List

  1. Navigate to the Bid Board or Portfolio Planning tool.
  2. Locate the project that you want to add to the Portfolio tool.
  3. Scroll right until you see the end of the row.
  4. Click the vertical ellipsis icon-ellipsis-vertical.pngicon.
  5. Click Add to Portfolio.
  6. If you would like to apply a project template to the project, click the Project Template menu and select the project you want to use as a template.
  7. Click Add to Portfolio.
    The project is automatically added to the Portfolio tool, where it can be accessed by project users.
