Respond to a Punch List Item (iOS)

Objective

To respond to a punch list item you have been assigned from an iOS device.

Background

If a user is assigned to a punch list item, they will receive an email with a link to that punch list item. Users can then respond to that punch list item in Procore and mark it as resolved. Although the assignee can mark the punch list item as "Resolved," it is up to the user who assigned the punch list item to completely close the item out. See Close a Punch List Item

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permission: 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the project's Punch List tab. Users with 'Standard' level permissions on Punch Lists can change the status of a punch list item only if they are listed as the assignee on the punch list item.
  • A status can also be changed from "Resolved" to "Unresolved" and vice versa at any time.
  • Mobile: Supported on Procore's iOS or Android applications.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Punch List tool on an iOS device.
  2. The defaulted filter is set to "Mine" and "Open", so you first be presented with open punch list items that are assigned to you. Find and tap the punch list item you wish to respond to
  3. Under "Assignees" tap anywhere in the bar where your name is listed.

  4. You then have the ability to do one or all of the following:
    • Change the response status: Change the status of a punch list item to unresolved to resolved to indicate whether or not the work on a item has been completed. Although assignees can mark the punch list item as "Resolved," it is up to the user who assigned the punch list item to completely close the item out.
    • Add a comment: You can add an additional comment for the item in the comment field.
    • Add a photo: You can add a photo to show the updated item now that it has been resolved.

  5. Tap Update. The creator of the punch list item will be able to see your response.

You must to post a comment.
