Manage Who Tracks Files and Folders in the Documents Tab


To manage who tracks your folders or files in the Documents tab.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions: 'Admin' level permissions on the Documents tab.
    • These permission levels apply to both the Company and Project level Documents tab. (Note: permission levels are tool-specific. For example, you can have Read-only level permissions on the Company level Documents tab and 'Admin' level permissions on a Project level Documents tab. Please keep this in mind when you are looking to tasks at different levels.)
  • Users who track an folder or file will receive a daily digest email detailing files that have been added, deleted, or updated in the last 24 hours.


  1. Navigate to the Company or Project level Documents tab.
  2. Click on the folder or file in the right file tree you would like to manage. 
  3. Scroll down to the 'Folder Tracking' or 'File Tracking' section under the 'Folder/File Permissions' section.
  4. Click Manage List.
  5. You can add or delete members who are tracking the folder/file or who would like to track the folder/file.
