Release Notes for 2018-02-12

Below are notable changes to Procore for the week ending Friday, February 9, 2018.

  • ADMIN
    • Added Printer Icon for QR Codes in Project Admin Tool (2/9/2018) 

      Updated the Locations page under Project Settings to change the vertical ellipsis (⋮) icon, which was formerly used to print QR codes. The Locations page now shows a Printer icon to provide users with more clarity about the page's print function. 

    • Added Print QR Code options for Tiered Locations (2/9/2018)

      Updated the 'What to Print' area of the Print QR Code window to provide users with the ability to choose between printing only QR codes for the selected tier or printing all QR codes under the selected tier. 

  • DIRECTORY
    • Added 'Synced' icons for Vendors in the Company Directory Synced with ERP Integrations (2/9/2018)

      Updated the Company Directory so that now, if the ERP Integrations tool is enabled and vendor record has successfully synced with an integrated ERP system, the 'Synced' ERP icon appears. See What do the ERP icons mean?

    • Updated the Group by Company View to Show ERP IDs (2/8/2018)

      Updated the 'Group by Company' view in the Company and Project Directory tools so it nows shows the ERP ID for the vendor (if the ERP Integrations tool is enabled and the vendor is synced with the integrated ERP system). 

    • Now Showing ABN/EIN in Company Directory (Beta View) (2/8/2018)

      Updated the Company Directory (Beta View) so it now shows the Australian Business Number (ABN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN).

    • Added Sage 300 CRE Standard Cost Codes in Add Filter Drop-Down List (2/07/2018)

      Updated the Project Directory (Beta View) so that now, if your company has enabled the ERP Integrations tool, the Add Filter drop-down list in the Companies view shows 'Sage 300 Cost Codes' as a filter option. Prior to this update, the 'Cost Codes' filter showed the Sage 300 CRE Cost Codes, but it was not explicitly labeled. 

  • REPORTS
    • Expanded Direct Cost 'Type' Filtering In 'Financial Line Item Details' Custom Report (2/5/2018)

      Updated the Company and Project level Reports tools to expand the filtering capability of the 'Type' column in the 'Financial Line Item Details' custom report. After the report is built, users can now select 'Type' from the Add Filter drop-down list and then mark the desired checkboxes (i.e.,  Direct Cost Expense, Direct Cost Invoice, Direct Cost Payroll, or Direct Cost Subcontract Invoice) to narrow data in the report to the selected filters.

  • DRAWINGS
    • Added Multi-Select Markup to Drawings Tool (2/9/2018)

      Updated the Drawings tool's Fullscreen Viewer to add the ability for users with publishing access to be able to press SHIFT + Click to bulk select and publish or delete markup. Users without publish access will now have the ability to SHIFT + Click their personal markup and have the option to bulk delete. Also, if a user tries to delete markup elements with attachments, a message appears to confirm the delete action.

    • Added Scrolling on Drawing Review Page with UP/DOWN Arrow Keys (2/5/2018)

      Users can now scroll through the drawings on the Drawing Review page by pressing the UP/DOWN arrow keys on their computer's keyboard.

    • Download PDF Drawings with Smart Markups from Email Messages (2/5/2018) 

      When sending a drawing to a project users from the Drawings tool, your recipients can now click the 'Download Markup' link in the message to download a PDF copy of the drawing that now supports vector-based smart markup. Note: Keep in mind that smart markups on drawing files only show the markups that were present at the time the email was sent. This is a follow-on update related to Drawings: Download with Smart Markup.

  • SUBMITTALS
    • Added Drag-and-Drop Support On Submittal Workflow For IE11 Users (2/6/2018)

      Internet Explorer 11 users can now use a drag-and-drop operation to change the order of the workflow steps on the submittal workflow. See Submittals: Added Drag-and-Drop Support On Submittal Workflow For Internet Explorer 11 Users.

    • Updated Button/Banner Behavior When Distributing Submittals (2/5/2018)

      Improved the button and banner behavior in the Submittals tool to clarify the state of a submittal workflow. This improves the experience for end users who are responsible for distributing a submittal. See Distribute a Submittal and Redistribute a Submittal. Updates include:

      • While the submittal workflow is in progress, a BLUE 'Workflow in Progress banner appears when viewing the submittal. 
      • When the required submittal workflow is completed, a GREEN 'Workflow is Complete' banner displays along with either a 'Close and Distribute' or 'Close and Redistribute' button. 
      • After a submittal is successfully distributed, a GREEN banner appears at the top of the submittal to confirm the distribute action. 
      • In addition, the Redistribute link that once appeared in the GOLD 'Submittal Distributed' banner is now a Redistribute button in the right pane.

  • COMMITMENTS
    • DocuSign Signature Completion Updates Change Order Status to 'Approved' (2/5/2018) 

      For companies using the Procore + DocuSign integration, we've updated the Project level Commitments and Project level Prime Contract tool so that now, when signatures are completed in DocuSign for a change order, its status is updated to 'Approved'. This applies to Prime Contract Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, and Commitment Change Orders. 

    • New Confirmation Messages for the Procore + DocuSign Integration (2/5/2018)

      Added new confirmation messages that appear when (1) a user clicks the 'Void' button on the BLUE DocuSign Pending Banner or (2) a user clicks the 'Withdraw' button on the GREEN DocuSign Complete Banner. This new message prompts the user to confirm the void or withdraw action and appears in the Commitments, Documents, and Prime Contract tools when the Procore + DocuSign integration is enabled.

  • PRIME CONTRACT
    • DocuSign Signature Completion Updates Change Order Status to 'Approved' (2/5/2018)

  • DAILY LOG
    • Added Ability to Show 'Trade' Field in Daily Log's Manpower Log (2/7/2018) 

      Added a new 'Show the Trade Field on the Manpower Log' checkbox to the Daily Log > Configure Settings > Project Settings page. When a user with 'Admin' level permission places a checkmark in this box, the system adds the 'Trade' field to the Manpower Log.

  • INSPECTIONS
    • Added Ability to Edit Inspection Numbers (2/5/2018)

      Updated the Inspections tool to provide end users with the ability to edit inspection numbers. If a user attempts to change an inspection number to a number that is already used, the system displays a message that gives the user to click 'Use Next Available Number' or 'Continue' (which assigns the selected inspection the duplicate number).

    • Added a Default Distribution List To the Configure Settings Page (2/2/2018)

      Updated the Project level Inspections tool to add a new Default Distribution drop-down list on the Inspection Settings page. This provides users with the ability to set a default distribution list for new inspections.

  • PUNCH LIST
    • Updated the 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company' Granular Permission (2/2/2018)

      Updated the Company Directory to correct the verbiage of the Punch List tool's granular permission. The word 'Private' was removed from the label, so it now reads 'Respond to Punch Items Assigned to Users Within Same Company', instead of 'Respond to Private Punch Items Assigned to Users within Same Company.' This label update was to clarify that the permission grants a user the privilege to respond to punch items assigned to other users within the same Procore company account. This includes responding to punch items marked as 'Private'.

  • TIMESHEETS
    • Deployed Minor Cosmetic Updates for the Create Timesheets Page (2/5/2018)

      Updated the user interface on the Project level Timesheets tool's Create Timesheets page. This including minor cosmetic updates to the Search bar in the Employee drop-down list. Also applied changes to improve visibility of the Employee Name and Initials on each timesheet.

  • DOCUSIGN
    • Now Setting Value in Executed Field to 'No' When User Clicks Withdraw (2/8/2018)

      Implemented a change that affects the Prime Contract, Commitments, and Change Orders tools so that if a user clicks 'Withdraw' on the DocuSign banner in Procore and then confirms to withdraw the Docusign envelope, the value in the 'Executed' field is set back to 'No.'
